I have been with my husband close to 11 years and we have been married just 7 years on 12/21… which is  Winter Solstice.

I currently attend SUNY (State University of New York) in Oswego. Initally returning to school to become a teacher… but insight from a 10 year old gave me pause. Last Thanksgiving while visiting family for the occasion (we live about 270 miles away), I told my Godson/nephew that i was going badk to school to become a teacher. His response was… “thats great Aunt Dawnie you will be a good teacher… but you would be a better counselor.” Devine intervention (both my parents are gone…Dad in 2002 and Mom in 2006)? Or insight from a child who overcame much adversity, a premie born at 1lb 14 oz., who has had therapists and counselors as long as he can remember? I think a little of both.
I just switched majors to Psychology and once i prove myself in that department…going from Psychology to Human Services/ Community Counseling.

Though we havent been blessedwith children… i have my 9 kitties to keep me busy!
